Seasonal – Program Assistant – Game Official (Referee)
Hiring Window: Year round
5 – 10 hours per week, $10 per hour
The Essex County Parks and Recreation Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Program Assistant/Game Official. The individuals selected for these positions will officiate a variety of sports contests to include basketball and soccer. Please indicate on your application the sport for which you wish to officiate. Knowledge of the particular sport’s rules and regulations is required. Past experience in playing the sport being officiated is preferred, but not required.
For more information on all Parks and Recreation positions please contact Parks and Recreation, at 804-443-2470. Internal applicants in good standing do not need to re-apply, but must indicate their wish to return in writing to Kay Carlton, Parks and Recreation Director. Internal applicants in good standing will be given first priority. All positions are open until filled.
