Job Overview

We're looking for a driven, curious intern to support Yieldmo's Sports & Emerging Product team. In this role, you'll help shape how brands connect with fans during significant moments by developing compelling narratives, supporting partnership development, and contributing to innovative fan engagement strategies. This position offers hands-on exposure to the business side of sports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research prospective and existing clients to support strategic outreach and meeting preparation.
  • Develop tailored advertising proposals and client-facing pitch decks in Google Slides or PowerPoint.
  • Create storytelling collateral mapping key fan moments across the sports calendar and highlighting brand opportunities.
  • Analyze the sports media landscape to identify emerging narratives and cultural moments influencing consumer behavior.
  • Collaborate with professional sports team partners on initiatives to evolve the business side of sports and fan engagement.
  • Participate in live client calls to gain exposure to partnership strategy and relationship management.
  • Draft follow-up communications and support active partnership opportunities from outreach through execution.
  • Build and maintain curated prospect lists with personalized outreach to uncover new direct brand opportunities.
  • Leverage AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
  • Present an end-of-summer recap to stakeholders summarizing key contributions and insights.

Requirements

  • Genuine passion for sports, understanding emotional narratives, rivalries, and fan experiences.
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Economics, Media, Sports Management, Communications, or a related field (Rising Sophomore or Junior preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • Strong storytelling and presentation skills with proficiency in Google Slides or PowerPoint.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Comfortable in collaborative and client-facing settings with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to Haves

  • Familiarity with the sports media landscape, storylines, and seasonal moments.
  • Experience in or strong interest in sports partnerships, team business operations, or fan experience innovation.
  • Exposure to ad tech, digital media, or programmatic advertising environments.
  • Experience in sales, client services, partnerships, or business development.
  • Familiarity with tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, MediaRadar, or SellerCrowd.

Hiring Process

  • Screening: 30-minute call with Talent Acquisition.
  • Interview: 60-minute video interview with the Hiring Manager.
  • On-Site: Remote on-site round including video interviews with various team members and leadership.
  • Offer: Selection for the internship offer.
