Role Description The Research Intern is a volunteer based role. The intern will support data collection, analysis, and reporting related to tournaments, athlete performance, rankings, and development programs. Daily tasks include researching international table soccer trends, benchmarking FRFM activities against global standards, and preparing concise reports and presentations for internal stakeholders. The intern will assist in maintaining databases, compiling statistics for media and communications, and supporting research needed for strategic projects, partnerships, and funding proposals. Collaboration with coaches, club representatives, and federation staff is expected to ensure research findings are practical and aligned with FRFM’s competitive objectives.
Qualifications
- Strong research and analytical skills, including the ability to gather data from multiple sources, evaluate reliability, and synthesize findings clearly.
- Proficiency in data handling tools (e.g., spreadsheets, basic statistical software) and comfort working with performance metrics and rankings.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports, summaries, and presentations in clear, professional English; Romanian language skills are an advantage.
- Organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records in a fast-paced environment.
- Interest in sports management, performance analysis, or federated sports structures; familiarity with table soccer or related sports is beneficial.
- Ability to work collaboratively on-site with diverse stakeholders and demonstrate a proactive, detail-oriented, and learning-focused mindset.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed studies in fields such as sports science, statistics, economics, social sciences, or related disciplines.
