Position Title: Repair & Shop Technician

Location: Hoback Sports – Jackson, WY

Classification: Summer Seasonal FT

Position Overview

To perform professional level bicycle technical services as well as manage effective communication with customers about service requests. Also supports the rental and retail departments with necessary service needs to ensure quality customer experiences at Hoback Sports.

Role Responsibilities

• Complete service work on skis/boards/bicycles with accuracy and efficiency.
• Bicycle Industry recognized professional/technical certifications preferred. i.e. – hydraulic brake bleeds, suspension overhauls, Ebike motor and electronics, etc.
• Provide excellent customer repair and tune services
• Knowledge of Ski/Snowboard repair work preferred.
• Check in/Check out customer repair/service work.
• Effectively communicate service recommendations to customers.
• Research and work with management to order necessary repair parts through a variety of distributors.
• Support Rental Department in servicing/upkeep of winter/summer rental fleets.
• Support Retail Department with bike builds and repairs as needed.
• Ensure that every guest has a quality experience at Hoback Sports.
• Clean shop, take trash out, general housekeeping of work environment.
• Consistently have up to date and extensive knowledge of service procedures, information and industry trends in both the snow sports and bicycle industries.
• Assist with physical inventories.

• Working knowledge and skillset of bike and repair practices.
• Proficient bicycle technical service ability and general bicycle industry knowledge preferred.
• 5 Years Previous Experience in Bicycle/Ski/Snowboard technical service preferred.
• Previous Retail Experience.
• Previous experience in bicycle industry technical service.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Working knowledge and skillset of bicycle/ski/snowboard tuning and repair practices.
• Enjoy physical activity.
• Enjoy being outside in variable weather conditions.
• Confidence in ability to instruct groups and enforce procedures.
• Excellent understanding of teamwork and communication with peers and supervisors.
• Ability to work with diverse groups and ages of people.
• High level of patience and able to cope well with stress.
• Strong guest services skills.
