Rehabilitation Specialist (Chigwell FWC) – Fitness – Permanent Part Time
Salary:
Up to £30,497.59 pro rata (15 hours per week), based on experience.
Position Overview:
The role is key to delivering Nuffield Health Rehabilitation Programmes, facilitating remote and in‑person exercise, emotional wellbeing support, healthy eating, and goal setting for participants’ recovery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Organise and run rolling 12‑week rehabilitation programmes.
- Facilitate both live‑stream and in‑person group exercise classes for participants of varying abilities and physical function.
- Promote self‑directed activity through pre‑recorded on‑demand classes and a journal to help participants manage their condition after the 12‑week programme.
- Re‑calibrate exercises and intensities based on regular improvements in effort and performance.
- Identify deterioration of participants, follow internal escalation processes, report within a specified timeframe, and accurately capture outcome data.
- Engage in weekly 1‑to‑1 telephone conversations with each participant to coach on short‑term and long‑term goals, understand restrictions, monitor progress, offer emotional wellbeing support, and empower self‑directed activity.
- Remote (digital) and in‑person facilitation of exercise, emotional wellbeing, healthy eating and goal setting.
Qualifications and experience required:
- Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification (essential).
- Previous experience in a Rehabilitation Specialist position (preferred).
- Understanding of rehabilitation principles; BSc (Hons) in Sports Rehabilitation is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent IT skills.
