Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Recreational Gymnastics Program Manager to lead our recreational gymnastics programs. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for teaching children, strong leadership skills, and a background in gymnastics. This role involves designing engaging classes, managing staff and participants, and fostering a positive environment that promotes physical development, safety, and fun. The Program Manager will play a key role in enhancing our community’s health and wellness initiatives through innovative programming and excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Develop, plan, and oversee recreational gymnastics classes and related programs for children of various age groups.
- Lead and supervise coaching staff, ensuring high-quality instruction and adherence to safety standards.
- Implement behavior management strategies to maintain a positive, inclusive, and disciplined environment.
- Coordinate schedules for classes, events, and special activities to maximize participation and engagement.
- Monitor program effectiveness through feedback from participants and parents; make adjustments as needed to improve quality.
- Ensure all activities comply with safety regulations
- Promote programs within the community through outreach efforts and partnerships with local organizations.
- Maintain equipment safety checks and ensure the cleanliness of facilities used for classes.
- Foster a welcoming atmosphere that encourages skill development, teamwork, and confidence among children.
Requirements
- Prior experience in sports coaching or teaching physical education; experience working with students is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of gymnastics
- Background in childcare or youth development with strong behavior management skills.
- Excellent leadership abilities with experience managing staff or teams.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, staff, and community partners.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans tailored to diverse age groups and skill levels.
- Passion for promoting health, fitness, safety, and fun in a recreational setting.
Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
