In this role, you will provide recreation therapy services under the guidance of a Recreation Therapist and a Program Manager. You will engage clients in both individual and group activities, adapting programs to meet specific needs. The focus is on promoting participation and observing client progress, while also directing volunteers to support programs effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement individual and group recreation therapy programs
• Adapt activities for client participation and independence
• Report client progress to the Recreation Therapist
• Provide guidance to program volunteers
• Ensure safe transportation of clients in the community
Requirements:
• Completion of a recognized Therapeutic Recreation Diploma Program
• Strong knowledge of Trauma Informed Practice and harm reduction
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations
• Prioritize and organize tasks independently
• Physical capacity to fulfill job duties
