Lead community engagement and recreation services as the Recreation Operations Manager in Markdale, Ontario. Oversee facilities, programming, and the Parks & Recreation team while fostering collaboration.
This permanent full-time role reports directly to the Director of Community Services. With a focus on operational leadership, you will manage daily activities in municipal recreation facilities and parks while enhancing community services. Assure that facilities are safe and compliant with industry standards, and work within a budget to support programs that respond to local needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily operations of recreation facilities and parks
• Ensure facilities meet safety, cleanliness, and accessibility standards
• Lead the Parks & Recreation Team and support staff development
• Monitor program efficiencies and implement improvements
• Foster community partnerships and engagement initiatives
Requirements:
• Post-secondary diploma in Recreation, Public Administration, or related field
• Minimum five years in recreation or municipal operations
• Experience in facility management and community engagement
• Leadership and communication skills are essential
• Valid CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
