Role Description The Recreation Manager is responsible for overseeing all recreation and leisure activities at the property in Cebu in an on-site, full-time capacity. This role plans, organizes, and supervises daily recreation programs, including fitness, wellness, and leisure activities for guests of various ages and interests. The Recreation Manager leads and schedules recreation staff, ensures facilities and equipment are safe and well-maintained, and coordinates with other departments to deliver consistent, high-quality guest experiences. The role manages recreation budgets, monitors program performance, and adjusts offerings based on guest feedback and occupancy patterns. The Recreation Manager is responsible for developing and organizing special events for both adults and children, promoting recreational and sports activities for hotel guests as well as external visitors, and creating engaging entertainment programs with the participation of hotel staff. The Recreation Manager also ensures that all guest interactions consistently reflect Dusit's "Always Gracious" service standards.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Supervisory Skills, including team leadership, staff scheduling, and performance oversight.
- Candidates should possess Recreation and Therapeutic Recreation skills for designing engaging, inclusive, and wellness-focused activities for adults & children..
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills to interact effectively with guests, (adults & children) team members, and cross-functional departments.
- Candidates should possess Budgeting skills to manage recreation program costs, revenue, and resource allocation.
- Relevant experience in hotel or resort recreation management, hospitality, or leisure services is highly beneficial.
- Knowledge of safety standards, risk management, and guest service best practices in a recreation setting is preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, and to be hands-on in an on-site operational environment.
- A degree or diploma in Recreation Management, Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field is an advantage.
