Recreation Assistant
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work at Halesowen Leisure Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the swimming pools and supporting members of the public while on Lifeguard duty, and for helping maintain a high level of cleanliness within the centre.
Hours and Pay
Part‑time, 29 hours per week on a 3‑week rotating shift pattern (including evenings, daytime hours and weekends). Salary:
Grade 3 (Scale pay range £25,185 – £25,583 pro‑rata).
Responsibilities
- Supervise the swimming pools on Lifeguard duty.
- Support and engage members of the public.
- Set up and derig leisure equipment.
- Carry out regular cleaning duties and maintenance schedules.
- Attend monthly staff training sessions.
- Promote quality customer service and maintain a friendly atmosphere.
Qualifications
- Recent National Pool Lifeguard qualification or currently working towards qualification.
