About the Opportunity

This firm is a boutique merchant bank specializing in off-market platform consolidations, treating professional sports as a high-growth emerging asset class.

They are launching an intensive 12-week rolling internship supporting a complex, $1.4 billion cross-border consolidation assembling a vertically integrated Sports Licensing & Marketing platform across nine jurisdictions. This isn't a typical "coffee-run" internship; you will work directly with veteran investors and data scientists (alumni of Goldman Sachs, Nike, and Palantir) on live, large-scale M&A transactions at the intersection of finance and cutting-edge technology.

What You’ll Do

  • M&A & Valuation: Build sophisticated financial models (DCF, comp tables, synergy quantification) for active acquisition targets across consumer retail, e-commerce, and manufacturing.
  • AI & Workflow Automation: Design and deploy automated data pipelines and research workflows using Python and Anthropic’s Claude AI.
  • Data Infrastructure: Build real-time analytics dashboards and monitoring frameworks within Palantir Foundry to track portfolio performance.
  • Deep-Dive Due Diligence: Assist with intense digital and financial due diligence, fact-checking, and market research in the $38B global sports licensing market.

Who You Are

  • The Background: A recent graduate with a quantitative degree (Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Data Science, Math, or a related field).
  • The Tech Stack: Proficient in Excel and financial modeling fundamentals, with solid programming roots in Python, R, or SQL.
  • AI Literate: Comfortable utilizing LLMs (specifically Claude) for research and process automation. Prompt engineering skills are a massive plus.
  • The Mindset: Obsessively detail-oriented, analytical, and an excellent communicator who can translate dense data into clear insights for senior stakeholders.
