Job Title: Program Coordinator

Organization: Fusion Volleyball

Hour Full Time Rate: $25 – $32 per hour

Work Hours: 30-40 hours a week

Reports To: Director of Community and Sport

Position Summary: Fusion Volleyball Club is seeking a highly organized and energetic Program Coordinator to support both the operational management and on-court execution of club programming. This role is central to delivering high-quality camps, clinics, and training sessions, ensuring that both the logistical and athlete experience sides of the program run seamlessly.

The ideal candidate is comfortable balancing administrative responsibilities with an active, visible presence in the gym, helping lead sessions, support coaches, and ensure a positive, structured environment for athletes.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Operations & Administration

  • Coordinate and manage front-end logistics for camps, clinics, leagues, and seasonal programming
  • Build and maintain program schedules, including facility usage, court assignments, and staffing
  • Oversee registration processes, roster management, and participant tracking
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for families, handling communication in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensure all program materials, equipment, and staffing needs are prepared in advance
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and program documentation
  • Support implementation of club policies, standards, and safety procedures

On-Court Program Execution

  • Lead and assist in running camps, clinics, and developmental training sessions
  • Provide on-court instruction and support aligned with club training standards
  • Help manage session flow, athlete groupings, and transitions to maximize efficiency and engagement
  • Supervise athletes to ensure a safe, positive, and structured training environment
  • Act as a visible leader in the gym, supporting coaches and setting expectations for athletes
  • Step in as needed to cover sessions, assist coaches, or troubleshoot issues in real time

Team Coaching & Athlete Development

  • Serve as Head or Assistant Coach for both a boys club team and a girls club team
  • Plan and lead structured, high-quality practices aligned with club training standards
  • Develop athletes’ technical, tactical, and mental aspects of the game
  • Manage team communication, expectations, and culture throughout the season
  • Coach at tournaments and competitions, including travel as required

Event & Community Engagement

  • Execution of club events, tournaments, and community initiatives
  • Oversee set-up, breakdown, and on-site coordination of events
  • Represent Fusion Volleyball Club in a professional and welcoming manner to families and the community

Decision-Making & Alignment:

  • Volleyball programming (training, teams, athlete development) sets the priority for scheduling and resource allocation
  • The Program Coordinator is responsible for executing those priorities efficiently and proactively
  • Success in this role requires managing needs, handling last-minute changes, and creating systems that support both flexibility and structure

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Education, Kinesiology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience in sports programming, coaching, or operations
  • Strong understanding of volleyball fundamentals (playing or coaching experience preferred)
  • Proven ability to manage logistics while also engaging directly with athletes
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to problem-solve quickly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
