Role Overview
The Production Manager will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all production-related activities for the AFC Asian Cup 2027 tournament operations in Saudi Arabia. The role is responsible for delivering world-class event production standards across ceremonies, fan zones, broadcast support, venue activations, and tournament-related events.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end production planning and delivery for tournament events and activations.
- Manage production timelines, budgets, suppliers, and staffing requirements.
- Coordinate with creative, operations, broadcast, marketing, venue, and technical teams.
- Oversee setup and execution of:
- Opening and closing ceremonies
- Match-day entertainment
- Fan festivals and public activations
- VIP and hospitality events
- Media and broadcast production support
- Ensure all production activities comply with AFC regulations, local authority requirements, and health & safety standards.
- Manage vendor procurement, contracts, and on-site production crews.
- Conduct site inspections, rehearsals, technical runs, and contingency planning.
- Monitor event delivery quality and resolve operational issues in real time.
- Prepare production reports, schedules, and post-event evaluations.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in large-scale sports, entertainment, or live event production.
- Previous experience with international sporting events, tournaments, or mega-events preferred.
- Strong understanding of technical production, staging, AV, lighting, rigging, and event logistics.
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and suppliers simultaneously.
- Experience working in multicultural and high-pressure environments.
- Excellent project management and communication skills.
- Proficiency in production scheduling and budgeting tools.
- Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.

Candidates with experience in events such as:
- FIFA tournaments
- AFC competitions
- Olympic events
- Formula 1 events
- Major concerts or entertainment festivals will be highly regarded.
Working Conditions
- Based in Saudi Arabia for the duration of the contract.
