About The Role

The Jr. Production Assistant Program in Atlanta offers a unique, immersive opportunity for individuals eager to develop their skills in production and technical operations within a live broadcast environment. As a Jr. Production Assistant, you will gain hands-on experience across various departments, working closely with seasoned professionals to understand the intricacies of creating world-class sports and entertainment content. This 12-month program begins in July 2026 and provides exposure to multiple facets of production, including studio operations, technical management, and remote broadcasting. Candidates will be assigned to a home base team—Remote Operations—where they will assist with planning, logistics, inventory management, and coordination of production assets. This role is ideal for motivated individuals passionate about media, sports, and entertainment, seeking to build a career in a fast-paced, live broadcast setting.

Qualifications

  • Age 18 or older
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Residency in the Atlanta area
  • Ability to work full-time hours, including weekends, nights, holidays, and overtime as per sports broadcast schedules
  • 1–3 years of work experience, including internships and volunteer work
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel); ability to learn new technology platforms
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-pressure, live environment
  • Creative problem-solving skills and adaptability
  • A passion for media, entertainment, sports, and television production

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the planning and execution of WBD Sports productions under the guidance of Technical Operations Managers
  • Collaborate with Production Management and Remote Operations teams to ensure smooth workflows
  • Coordinate logistics for facilities, rental equipment, and WBD-owned assets to ensure timely and efficient operations
  • Manage inventory of production gear across various locations, including organizing and palletizing equipment for shipments
  • Create and track work orders using MediaPulse software to facilitate equipment and resource management
  • Support day-to-day administrative tasks within the Production & Technical Operations teams
  • Learn and observe various production functions such as camera operations, teleprompter use, studio lighting, scenic design, and floor direction
  • Gain exposure to technical operations including live playout, VR/XR, graphics, audio, and technical direction
  • Participate in crew management, scheduling, and business operations like reporting and payroll
  • Engage actively in training sessions and seek opportunities for professional development
