Title: Product Lifecycle Management Specialist

Company: North Sails Apparel

Location: Colombo, Western Province, Sri Lanka

Job Title: Centric PLM Operator – Apparel (Product Operations)

Location: Colombo, Sri Lanka (On-site / Hybrid)

Company: North Technology Group (Centralized Shared Services)

Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role

North Technology Group is rolling out Centric Product Lifecycle Management as the global system of record for apparel product development across our iconic brands, including North Sails Apparel and North Action Sports.

We are looking for a meticulous, hands-on Centric Product Lifecycle Management Operator to join our Centralized Shared Services team in Colombo. In this role, you will own the day-to-day operations, data integrity, and user support for the platform. Working closely with distributed design, development, sourcing, and costing teams across multiple time zones, you will be the operational backbone that keeps our product data accurate, complete, and moving seamlessly through the seasonal calendar.

💡 Note: This is a highly technical data and systems role, not a design role. Success looks like clean data, on-time milestones, and global product teams who fully trust what the system tells them.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Lifecycle Management: Create and maintain style and product records through the full seasonal lifecycle, from initial concept to production handoff.
  • Tech Pack & BOM Maintenance: Build and maintain detailed tech packs, bills of materials (BOMs), and specification data based on inputs from designers and developers.
  • Library Governance: Manage and update the material, color, trim, and component libraries, including supplier-linked data and reference imagery.
  • Supplier Master Data: Maintain accurate supplier and vendor master data, ensuring total consistency with related ERP systems.
  • Calendar & Milestone Tracking: Support the seasonal product calendar by tracking milestones, flagging slippage, and keeping global stakeholders informed.
  • Data Auditing: Conduct regular data quality audits and cleanup, strictly enforcing naming conventions, taxonomy, and governance standards.
  • Reporting: Generate reports, bulk data exports, and line sheets for product, sourcing, and costing teams.
  • User Support & Training: Provide tier-1 troubleshooting support to PLM users, escalate complex platform problems to IT, and help onboard/train new users with up-to-date SOPs.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience operating Centric PLM within an apparel, fashion, or footwear environment (mandatory requirement).
  • Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of apparel product development concepts (tech packs, BOMs, construction terminology, grading, and the sample lifecycle).
  • Technical Skills: High accuracy and attention to detail in data entry, paired with intermediate-to-advanced Excel skills for reporting and bulk data work.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal English skills, with the ability to confidently collaborate with teams across Europe and the Americas.
  • Independence: Proven ability to work independently across multiple time zones and manage competing priorities against tight calendar deadlines.

Preferred Skills (A Plus!)

  • Experience with recent Centric PLM versions and exposure to configuration or system administration.
  • Experience supporting multiple brands or distinct business units on a single shared platform.
  • Exposure to ERP integration touchpoints (specifically Dynamics 365 Business Central).
  • Experience writing or maintaining technical process documentation and training material.

The Ideal Candidate

You are methodical, reliable, and possess the professional discipline to keep data clean even when no one is watching. You are a clear, proactive communicator who can track down missing information from global teams smoothly and without friction. Above all, you enjoy being the go-to operational expert that distributed teams depend on to get things done.
