Job Overview
This is a unique opportunity for the right candidate to be the private tennis coach for a local family with 3-5 competitive tennis players under the broader family umbrella (several siblings) . General range of kids is 11-16 with UTR’s broadly ranging from 6-10 (both boys and girls).
The goal is to establish consistency and commitment in taking the training to the next level.
Compensation is intended to be competitive to a full-time role, taking in to account schedule requirements. Role will allow for outside jobs, so long as this role is always primary.
Responsibilities
- Establish, maintain, organize execute a productive and engaging tennis training program.
- Develop customized training plans that incorporate technical skills, physical conditioning, recovery and strategic gameplay
- Drive to/from lessons with pick-ups as needed.
- Monitor player progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and encouragement, including participating at various tournaments that may require some local/regional travel.
Experience
- Proven experience as a tennis coach or instructor at a professional or amateur level
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with teens
- Background in sports coaching with knowledge of physical education principles
This role is intended to be heavily integrated into the family environment, so discipline, respect, confidentiality, and integrity are of the utmost importance. Role can be accommodated either as a contract position or full time based on the situation.
Ideal candidate would have high level college experience, multi-lingual, enjoys being around young teens, competitive, and can operate within a dynamic family environment. Intended core training periods would be early mornings and after school times with flexibility during the core school hours.
Pay: $31.54 – $37.98 per hour
