Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience as an intern or graduate assistant with a Division I intercollegiate football program.

Position Summary

The Player Personnel Coordinator manages a database of prospective student‑athletes, identifies and initially evaluates prospects, and serves as a recruiting specialist/analyst for assigned position coaches. The employee manages game‑day logistics for visiting prospects, coordinates and schedules all travel logistics for the coaching staff, and oversees personnel and recruiting deliverables such as visitor lists, camp results, contact periods, offers, and related documentation.

Knowledge,

Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

  • Previous experience in football recruiting or a player personnel department, familiarity with NCAA and SEC compliance rules.
  • Ability to communicate and organize schedules.
  • Ability to stay up to date with recruiting current events and keep coaches informed.
  • Proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Physical Demands

  • Regular standing, walking, use of hands, and reaching with arms/hands.
  • Vision: close, distance, and peripheral.
  • Noise level: moderate, increasing to high during practice and competitions.
  • Driving to perform job duties as needed.

Duties/Responsibilities Scout & Roster Database

  • Manage, improve, and maintain high school player database.
  • Scout, identify, and track prospects for assigned positions.
  • Serve as high school recruiting specialist for assigned position coaches.
  • Build and maintain relationships for assigned positions.
  • Oversee watch lists, evaluate practices, cut‑ups, and other information for assigned positions.
  • Input and update measurements post‑visits for UGA and non‑UGA camps.
  • Supervise and provide quality control for recruiting film input process (game film, UGA camp film, and non‑UGA camp film).
  • Assist with measuring prospects and UGA roster.
  • Assist with college prospect scouting.
  • Oversee personnel and recruiting deliverables:
    • Visitor lists for UGA and non‑UGA camp results.
    • Offer and T‑F wires.
    • Contact period recaps.
    • In‑Season score sheets.
    • Playoff brackets.
    • Championship information sheets.

Travel Logistics

  • Oversee recruiting travel for assigned position coaches.
  • Log coach travel and communicate with the Compliance office using proper databases and forms.

Hosting Logistics

  • Assist with recruiting and hosting prospects.
  • Assist with all recruiting events, including camps, official visits, and unofficial visits.

Other Duties

  • Assist the College Scouting Coordinator with onboarding and training students and interns with player personnel and recruiting.
  • Assist the Director of Player Personnel with other duties as assigned.
