Pay: $13.50 – $14.00
About the Role
The Trainer will manage the Planet Fitness group fitness program (PE@PF), assisting new members to achieve their fitness goals by designing simple workout programs and instructing proper equipment usage.
Responsibilities
- Familiarize members with the facility, maintain a comfortable atmosphere, and motivate members seeking support.
- Conduct and run the Planet Fitness PE@PF program, including creating and following the schedule.
- Consult with members regarding their fitness goals and provide motivation and support.
- Instruct and acclimate all members to each piece of equipment, ensuring proper and safe use.
- Create bi‑weekly exercise updates.
- Meet class requirements based on club size and member traffic.
- Assist front desk activities: answer phones, check members into the system, facilitate new member sign‑ups, tour prospects, track inventory.
- Participate in daily cleaning and general equipment maintenance.
- Respond to member questions and concerns promptly; elevate to Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.
- Other duties as assigned based on club needs.
Qualifications
- Must be 18years of age or older.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Passion for fitness and health.
- Upbeat, positive attitude; punctuality and reliability.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a professional, positive approach.
- Strong listening ability, empathy, and problem‑solving skills.
- Diplomacy in all interactions, appropriate behavior and language.
- Current CPR Certification required.
- Personal Training Certification from a preferred association (IFA, ACE, or NCSF) required.
Physical Demands
- Continual standing, walking, bending, crouching, reaching.
- Continual listening and talking in person or on the phone.
- Regularly lift up to 50lbs.
- Occasional exposure to toxic chemicals during shift.
