We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Physician Assistant (PA) certified in non-operative sports medicine to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in patient assessment, injury management, and sports-related care, with a focus on non-invasive treatment modalities. Duties

  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including physical examinations, vital sign assessments, and medical history reviews specific to sports injuries and musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans emphasizing non-operative interventions such as physical therapy, injections, and pain management strategies.
  • Perform procedures including suturing, injection administration, and aseptic techniques while adhering to established clinical protocols.
  • Manage acute injuries through triage, initial stabilization, and coordination of further diagnostic evaluation utilizing EMR systems for accurate documentation.
  • Assist in diagnostic evaluation processes involving radiology interpretation, diagnostic testing, and data collection for clinical research or quality improvement initiatives.
  • Educate patients on injury prevention, rehabilitation exercises, medication administration, and lifestyle modifications to support long-term health outcomes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the facility setting—including rehabilitation units, surgical team, outpatient interventional pain management —to ensure seamless patient care delivery.

Experience

  • Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems or Cerner for documentation and data management purposes.
  • Experience in acute care settings including Level I or Level II trauma centers is preferred; familiarity with ICU or PICU environments is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of diagnostic evaluation techniques involving musculoskeletal imaging and physiology principles relevant to sports injuries.
  • Hands-on experience administering injections and performing procedures like suturing or aseptic techniques.
  • Background in clinical research or participation in clinical trials related to sports medicine or injury recovery enhances candidacy.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology in sports medicine, orthopaedic and surgery
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) along with experience managing acute pain cases or post-operative care is beneficial;

Pay: $125,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
