Orthopedic Centers of Colorado is seeking a motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our growing outpatient orthopedic team. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to deliver evidence-based treatment interventions that improve mobility, restore function, reduce pain, and enhance overall quality of life.
This position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse orthopedic population, including post-operative, sports medicine, spine, joint replacement, and general musculoskeletal conditions in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Implement individualized treatment plans established by the supervising PT
- Deliver therapeutic exercise programs, neuromuscular re-education, manual therapy techniques within scope of practice, gait training, balance training, and functional activities
- Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate progress to the supervising Physical Therapist
- Document daily treatment sessions, patient progress, and clinical outcomes in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs (HEP), injury prevention, functional mobility, and recovery strategies
- Assist with discharge planning and transition of care
- Maintain compliance with clinic policies, state practice acts, Medicare guidelines, and professional standards
- Collaborate with Physical Therapists, Physicians, Athletic Trainers, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
- Provide exceptional customer service and contribute to a positive patient experience
Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate demonstrates strong clinical skills, excellent communication, critical thinking, and a passion for helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals. Experience treating orthopedic and sports medicine conditions is preferred.
Qualifications Required
- Active Colorado Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) License
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Strong interpersonal and patient education skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented outpatient orthopedic environment
Preferred
- 1+ year of outpatient orthopedic experience
- Experience with post-operative rehabilitation
- Experience treating sports injuries, spine conditions, and orthopedic diagnoses
- Familiarity with EMR documentation systems
- New graduates are encouraged to apply
Work Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday through Friday
- Day shift
- Clinic hours typically between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
