Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of licensed physical therapists to help patients recover from injuries, improve mobility, and enhance their overall physical functioning. Your contributions will be vital in providing quality patient care in various settings, including geriatrics, Sports medicine, Orthopedics
Responsibilities
- Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Conduct therapeutic exercises and activities to improve strength, flexibility, and coordination.
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising therapist.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, exercises, and home care strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress notes using medical terminology.
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure a smooth transition for patients leaving therapy services.
- Utilize knowledge of physiology and trigger point therapy techniques to enhance treatment effectiveness.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Physical Therapy Assisting or related field from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Experience in Outpatient Orthopedics preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and physiology knowledge.
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and teamwork.
- Ability to demonstrate compassion and empathy while providing patient care.
- Familiarity with discharge planning processes is a plus.

Pay: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour
