HomeTown Physical Therapy is a locally owned Physical Therapy practice serving Erath and Northern Hamilton county areas. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the outpatient orthopedic settings, with experience in aquatics and geriatrics. This role involves developing and implementing individualized care plans, and providing high-quality patient care to help individuals achieve their rehabilitation goals.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on patient assessments.
- Provide hands-on therapy techniques, including trigger point therapy, to alleviate pain and improve mobility.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive discharge planning for patients.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, exercises, and strategies for recovery.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in physical therapy practices and techniques.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
- Experience in outpatient settings preferred; inpatient experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with pediatric and geriatric patient care is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
