Job Overview
We are seeking a part time physical therapist to join our healthcare team 2025 hours per week. Ideal hours include Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9-1 and Tuesday and Thursday 3:30-7:30. Some flexibility is available.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in physical therapy principles, with a focus on delivering comprehensive patient care across diverse settings. As a Physical Therapist, you will evaluate, develop, and implement individualized care plans to promote recovery, improve mobility, and enhance quality of life for patients of all ages. Your expertise in anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology will be essential in providing effective treatment and fostering positive patient outcomes.
Duties
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ physical conditions, including mobility, strength, and functional capabilities.
- Develop personalized care plans that incorporate therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy, and other interventions tailored to patient needs.
- Implement treatment strategies in an outpatient orthopedic settings.
- Monitor patient progress regularly and adjust care plans accordingly to optimize recovery trajectories.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate discharge planning and ensure seamless transitions between care settings.
- Educate patients and their families on physical therapy techniques, injury prevention, and self-care strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation within electronic medical record (EMR) systems in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Stay current with advances in physical therapy practices, including orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and sports medicine.
Qualifications
- Valid IL Physical Therapy license.
- Proven experience in outpatient orthopedic environments.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy practice.
- Demonstrated proficiency in developing effective care plans for diverse patient populations including geriatrics and pediatrics.
- Experience with outpatient treatment modalities.
- Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation and patient management.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with healthcare teams.

Pay: $90,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
