Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and a thorough understanding of human physiology and anatomy. This role involves working with patients in a multidisciplinary private practice. The Physical Therapist will be responsible for developing individualized treatment plans, providing therapeutic interventions, and assisting patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals.
This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position. Pay is production based and choose your own schedule.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their physical abilities and limitations.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
- Utilize various therapeutic techniques, including trigger point therapy, to enhance patient recovery.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding treatment plans, exercises, and discharge planning.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care across settings such as geriatrics, orthopedics, and outpatient services.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Stay updated on advancements in physical therapy practices and participate in ongoing professional development.
- Build relationships with other healthcare professionals to accommodate the referral process, be able to market your abilities and build your patient base.
Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy/Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Multilingual preferred but not required (English/Spanish)
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and therapeutic techniques relevant to physical therapy practice.
- Experience in geriatrics, home health, hospital settings, or outpatient care is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and their families.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care with empathy and professionalism.
