Position: Physical Education Teacher for K-7 at St. Mary’s
Become a Physical Education Teacher y’s School, engaging Kindergarten to Grade 7 students in sports and healthy living while embracing our faith-based values. This full-time opportunity offers a chance to impact students’ lives through physical education.
In this role, you will design, teach, and assess a comprehensive K-7 Physical Education curriculum that aligns with the BC standards. A valid BC Teaching Certificate and two years of teaching experience in physical education at the elementary level are essential. Your expertise in coaching and support for diverse learners will be invaluable y’s, where high expectations for behavior and participation guide our community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and deliver engaging Physical Education lessons
• Foster a spirit of sportsmanship and inclusivity
• Oversee athletic events, including teams and competitions
• Coach multiple athletic teams throughout the year
• Work collaboratively with staff to enrich student learning
Requirements:
• Hold a valid BC Teaching Certificate
• 2+ years of experience in teaching Physical Education
• Degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, or similar
• Experience in coaching and supporting diverse students
• Strong organizational and relationship-building skills
