Physiatrist (PM&R) / Sports Medicine Physician (MD/DO) / Physician Assistant (PA) Jobs in New York, NY at Comprehensive Pain and Wellness Center

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Physiatrist (PM&R), Sports Medicine Physician (MD/DO), or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing multidisciplinary team. This is an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of a collaborative, non-operative musculoskeletal practice focused on helping patients recover from injury, reduce pain, and return to active lifestyles.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries, spine disorders, sports-related conditions, and orthopedic issues while working closely with orthopedic surgeons, spine specialists, rehabilitation professionals, and ancillary staff.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat acute and chronic musculoskeletal and spine conditions
  • Diagnose and manage injuries affecting the spine, joints, and extremities in patients of all ages
  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical history, physical examinations, and functional assessments
  • Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing conservative and evidence-based approaches
  • Perform non-operative procedures, including:
  • Joint injections
  • Ultrasound-guided injections and procedures
  • Concussion evaluation and management
  • Treatment of acute sports-related injuries
  • Other minimally invasive musculoskeletal interventions as appropriate
  • Develop rehabilitation protocols and return-to-play plans when applicable
  • Interpret diagnostic imaging, including X-rays, MRI, CT scans, and musculoskeletal ultrasound when appropriate
  • Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, athletic trainers, radiologists, and rehabilitation specialists to coordinate patient care
  • Educate patients on injury prevention, rehabilitation strategies, and long-term wellness
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Participate in community outreach initiatives and educational opportunities

Qualifications Physiatrist (PM&R)

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
  • Eligible for medical licensure in New York and New Jersey

Sports Medicine Physician

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Sports Medicine
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship
  • Eligible for medical licensure in New York and New Jersey

Physician Assistant (PA)

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Current NCCPA certification
  • Eligible for licensure in New York and New Jersey
  • Experience in Sports Medicine, Orthopedics, PM&R, or Musculoskeletal Medicine preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in outpatient musculoskeletal and sports medicine practice
  • Experience performing ultrasound-guided injections and procedures
  • Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy, injury management, and rehabilitation
  • Familiarity with regenerative medicine treatments is a plus
  • Ability to interpret musculoskeletal imaging
  • Proficiency with Epic or other EMR systems
  • Excellent communication and patient education skills
  • Strong teamwork and collaborative approach to patient care

Pay: $150,000.00 – $325,000.00 per year
