Job Title: Swim Lesson Instructor

Job Type: Part-Time
We are looking for a passionate swim lesson instructor to join our team to expand our availability going into the fall season! As a swim lesson instructor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality group and private swim lessons to children aged 1+ and will work on a team that is passionate about swimming and helping children! This is a part-time position that runs year-round. We offer competitive pay with flexible hours, although Saturday availability is highly desired.

505 Swimming was created out of a passion for swimming and a desire to make learning easy, accessible, and fun. We provide a wide range of 1-on-1 and group lessons to support students from all backgrounds and levels. Our teaching philosophy is rooted in having fun and creating an environment where swimmers feel safe, supported, and simultaneously challenged. Responsibilities
- Conduct small group swim lessons in a safe and fun manner
- Evaluate and track the progress of each student
- Communicate effectively with students and their parents to provide feedback and answer any questions they may have
- Demonstrate and explain proper swimming techniques to students
- Provide feedback and encouragement to help students overcome obstacles and achieve their goals
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff members to create a positive and supportive team environment.
Required Qualifications
- CPR certification or ability to obtain one
- Water safety/swim instruction certification or ability to obtain one
- Ability to work well with children and adults
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility in your schedule and availability to work weekends
- Access to reliable transportation to and from the swim facility
- A passion and excitement for teaching and helping others
- Familiarity with swimming techniques
- Experience working with children
- Must pass a background check and drug test before employment
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of swim instruction or coaching experience
- Professional, volunteer, or academic experiences that demonstrate strong leadership abilities.
Pay: $20.00 – $23.00 per hour
