Position: Part-Time Lifeguard at YMCA
Ensure pool safety and promote water awareness as a part-time Lifeguard at the YMCA of Saskatoon. Join our mission of fostering community and well-being through safety education.
In this key role, you will monitor swimmers, enforce safety protocols, and offer educational support on water safety. The YMCA of Saskatoon expects Lifeguards to maintain a vigilant watch over pool areas while providing exceptional service to members. Flexible shifts are available from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise swimmers during active guard duty
• Ensure safety in all areas of the pool
• Welcome members and staff in the pool area
• Inspect rescue equipment for readiness
• Maintain cleanliness of the deck and equipment
Requirements:
• National Lifeguard Certification required
• Minimum age of 16 years
• Current Standard First Aid and CPR-C with AED award
• Commitment to safety and accident prevention
• Ability to work flexible shifts
