Lead the YMCA Karate Program in Oshawa as a part-time Karate Instructor. This role involves teaching, assessing progress, and developing lesson plans for children.
The YMCA is seeking a contract part-time Karate Instructor for its Health & Fitness Centre in Oshawa. You will create engaging lesson plans and ensure each participant’s individual learning style is addressed. Key Responsibilities:
• Instruct participants in the YMCA Karate Program
• Develop and implement weekly lesson plans for classes
• Maintain accurate progress records and take attendance
• Assist with gradings and provide coaching for participant success
• Ensure equipment safety and take appropriate action if necessary
Requirements:
• Minimum 1 year of active Karate training
• Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Flexibility for scheduling on days, evenings, and weekends
