Job Overview
We are looking for a front-line Supervisor for a large outdoor sporting goods distributer. You will be playing a crucial role in the Supply Chain, ensuring smooth operation and accurate Stock Levels. Someone who has worked at Basspro or Dicks Sporting goods would be good for this position.
Duties:
- Using a Symbol Hand Held Computer or something similar
- Using an ERP System (Blue Cherry)
- Verifying Deliveries, and Updating Inventory
- Working and Directing a Team to Unload, Count and Receive Product
- Checking for Damages and Discrepancies in Shipments
- Notifying Vendors of any issues with orders
- Preparing Items for Storage or Shipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Any Other Duties Assigned by Managment
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics environment
- Strong knowledge of shipping and receiving processes
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required by the job.
- Experience operating forklifts and electric pallet jacks a plus
- Bilingual is Plus
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.
