Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated part time or full-time Orthopedic Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (APRN) to join our orthopedic practice. The ideal candidate is comfortable evaluating and treating musculoskeletal conditions, assisting in surgery, performing office procedures, and working independently while collaborating closely with our orthopedic surgeons. On Call is not required. This position will work out of both our Orlando and Davenport location. Saturday shifts are available as well.
Orthopedic experience is strongly preferred, although motivated new graduates with orthopedic rotations may be considered.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate new and established orthopedic patients.
- Obtain comprehensive medical histories and perform focused physical examinations.
- Diagnose and develop treatment plans for musculoskeletal conditions.
- Order and interpret X-rays, MRI, CT scans, laboratory studies, and other diagnostic testing.
- Perform joint aspirations and injections using landmark or ultrasound guidance.
- Apply and remove casts, splints, braces, and orthopedic immobilization devices.
- Reduce fractures and dislocations when appropriate.
- Perform wound evaluations, suture removal, staple removal, and incision care.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient management.
- Educate patients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, surgical procedures, medications, rehabilitation, and recovery expectations.
- Prescribe medications in accordance with Florida regulations and supervising physician protocols.
- Document all patient encounters accurately and timely within the EMR.
- Coordinate care with physical therapists, pain management providers, primary care physicians, imaging centers, and specialists.
- Complete disability paperwork, workers’ compensation documentation, and return-to-work evaluations.

- Motor vehicle accident injuries
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current Florida PA or APRN license.
- NCCPA certification (PA) or national board certification (NP).
- Current DEA registration (or ability to obtain).
- Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred).
- Excellent communication and patient education skills.
- Strong clinical decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced orthopedic clinic.
Preferred Skills
- Joint injection experience.
- Fracture reduction and casting experience.
- Interpretation of musculoskeletal imaging.
- Experience with workers’ compensation and personal injury patients.
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus, not required.
- Ability to work independently

Pay: $70.00 – $85.00 per hour
