Africa Skate is hiring an Operations & Partnerships Manager based in Addis Ababa.
We are building one of the most ambitious youth, sport and cultural platforms on the continent through skateboarding, urban culture, media, education and events.
From international festivals and forums to youth programmes and continental partnerships, this role will help shape the operational backbone of Africa Skate while managing key relationships across institutions, brands and collaborators.
We are looking for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments and can balance structure with creativity.
Key responsibilities include:
• Leading the operational delivery of Africa Skate programmes and events
• Coordinating partners, sponsors, stakeholders and international guests
• Managing timelines, logistics, vendors and staffing
• Supporting programme development and implementation
• Building scalable systems and workflows
• Overseeing festival and event execution across multiple venues
• Supporting partnership management and stakeholder communication
Ideal candidates should have:
• Experience managing large-scale events, forums or cultural programmes
• Strong project management and coordination skills
• Experience working with international organisations, brands or institutions
• The ability to lead under pressure and manage complex operations
• A strong understanding of youth culture, sports, creative industries or community-driven initiatives
