Kia ora! We’re looking for a Non-Financial Risk Analyst to join our awesome team in Newmarket.
This role is instrumental in championing and influencing robust Line 2 Non-Financial Risk management within Heartland Bank. In this role you’ll
- Provide subject matter expertise on Non-Financial Risk matters, including assisting with implementing regulatory and other change initiatives.
- Maintain and deliver Line 2 Non‑Financial Risk frameworks, policies, procedures and training materials, ensuring they remain clear, effective and fit for purpose.
- Analyse and collate non‑financial risk and compliance data to support the Non‑Financial Risk team and prepare high‑quality reporting for senior committees such as the Executive Risk Committee and Board Risk Committee.
- Administer Heartland’s risk management system and contribute to the ongoing development of the Non‑Financial Risk digital strategy, leveraging technology to enhance monitoring, analysis and enable timely, proportionate risk responses.
About the Non-Financial Risk Team: As the second line of defence at Heartland, the Non-Financial Risk team provide independent oversight, challenge and support for operational risk and compliance related matters. The Non-Financial Risk team partner with the rest of Heartland to uphold and promote ongoing development of maturity and sound operational risk and compliance management practices throughout the business.

You Deliver Quickly And Bring Experience With
- 3+ years in a comparable risk and compliance role, ideally in the financial services industry.
- Practical experience in addressing risk and compliance requirements within business practices (such as CCCFA, COFI, Privacy) is beneficial.
- Business analysis and reporting experience, including advanced Excel capabilities. SQL knowledge is an advantage, but not essential.
- A bachelor's degree in business, legal, management, or a related field is preferred.
- Exposure to using Artificial Intelligence is beneficial.
