Non Executive Director – Elite Coaching Jobs in Leeds, UK at UK Coaching
This role is non‑remunerated with reasonable expenses being reimbursed.
Key areas of responsibility
- Provide strategic leadership, insight and guidance into how UK Coaching can support coaches to deliver excellent experiences.
- Support and challenge the Executive team who have responsibility for day to day delivery.
Knowledge required to do the job
- Proven track record of coaching at the highest level — for example, with national teams, elite athletes.
- A passion for coaching and/or sport and physical activity with an understanding of its central role in developing a happier and healthier nation.
- Demonstrated success in talent development — nurturing individuals from promising potential to peak performance.
- Practical experience of serving as a Board member and supporting Executive staff.
- An understanding of sport and physical activity.
- Knowledge of working with partner organisations to achieve a common set of objectives.
Skills required to do the job
- The ability to absorb complex information and provide Board level guidance.
- Willingness to contribute in a positive manner and be proactive in supporting the organisation to achieve its objectives.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to act as an ambassador for UK Coaching.
- Any additional skills as determined by the Board Skills Matrix.
