Second Wind Pro has represented more than 30 college football players and negotiated over $750,000 in NIL opportunities. We are expanding our football division and seeking an experienced NIL Football Agent to recruit, sign and represent high-potential athletes.
Position Overview
The NIL Football Agent will be responsible for identifying prospective clients, building relationships with athletes and their families, negotiating NIL and revenue-sharing agreements and supporting players throughout their college football careers.
The ideal candidate is an experienced sports or NIL agent—or a former college football player—with an established network across athletes, families, coaches, trainers, collectives and college football personnel departments.
This is a performance-driven opportunity for someone who wants to build a valuable athlete portfolio within a growing sports company.
Responsibilities
- Identify, recruit and sign high-potential college football players
- Build relationships with athletes, parents, coaches, trainers and advisors
- Negotiate NIL, revenue-sharing, marketing and endorsement agreements
- Guide athletes through recruitment and the transfer portal
- Develop individualized strategies for athlete earnings, positioning and career growth
- Source opportunities through schools, collectives, brands and other industry partners
- Maintain consistent communication with athletes and their families
- Monitor changes across NIL regulations, revenue sharing and college football
- Collaborate with Second Wind’s football operations, financial services and technology teams
- Represent Second Wind with professionalism, integrity and an athlete-first approach
Qualifications
- Experience in athlete representation, NIL, college football recruiting or a closely related field
- Existing relationships with college football players, recruits, families or industry professionals
- Strong understanding of NIL, revenue sharing and the transfer portal
- Demonstrated ability to recruit talent, develop relationships and negotiate agreements
- Excellent communication, organization and follow-through
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-moving startup environment
- High level of professionalism, discretion and personal accountability
- Willingness to travel when necessary for recruiting, meetings and industry events
Preferred Background
- Current or former NIL or sports agent
- Former college football player
- Existing portfolio or pipeline of recruitable athletes
- Relationships with coaches, personnel departments, collectives, trainers or football programs
- Experience negotiating athlete agreements or high-value partnerships
Compensation
This is an independent-contractor, commission-based position with meaningful earning potential tied directly to the business generated and athlete portfolio managed.
The role will initially focus on college football, with future opportunities to expand into men’s basketball and professional sports.
