Position: National Lifeguard Instructors & Examiners Hiring

Join the Municipality of Clarington as we seek National Lifeguard Instructors and Examiners to deliver quality aquatic education. This role focuses on enhancing skills and ensuring safety in community settings.
We need Aquatic Leadership Conductors at our key facilities including Courtice Community Complex and Diane Hamre Recreation Complex. Your responsibilities will include course planning and the oversight of participant safety during educational sessions. Strong customer service and critical thinking are essential, as you’ll be engaging with diverse community members.
Key Responsibilities:
• Organize and deliver aquatic safety courses
• Monitor candidates’ health and safety throughout training
• Execute administrative tasks following established procedures
• Provide exceptional customer service at all times
• Exercise independent judgment in all situations
Requirements:
• Current Standard First Aid with CPR ‘C’ certification
• National Lifeguard Award and relevant instructor certifications
• Experience in leading aquatic education
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings
• Successful completion of background checks
