MS Boys Soccer Coaching Jobs in Gastonia at Gaston Day School
Seeking applicants to join the coaching staff in the role of Middle School Boys Soccer Head Coach
Start Date: August 2026
The ideal candidate has experience coaching and/or playing soccer and has prior experience working with Middle School age students. The position will be responsible for the day-to-day responsibilities of running a soccer team, including but not limited to, daily practice planning, preparation for games, communication with families, etc.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Educator mindset. We strive to use athletics at Gaston Day to teach our student-athletes life lessons through sports.
- Ability to provide effective communication and interaction with all program stakeholders (student-athletes, parents, etc.).
- Organize and lead daily practices to develop players technically, cerebrally, and physically.
- Ability to drive a non-CDL bus to transport team to away games.
- Recommended – CPR/AED/First Aid certification.
Schedule:
- The soccer season runs in the fall (early August through early October)
- This position requires availability on weekdays 4-5 days per week. Roughly between the hours of 3:15 pm – 5:30 pm.
- The team will play competitive matches against other teams within the MAC Conference. There will be roughly 12 matches per season.
Reporting: This position reports to the Director of Athletics.
Salary: Commensurate with experience
