Iowa Central is looking for a Motorcycle Safety adjunct instructor to provide training and on-the-road instruction.
* Fueling provided motorcycles.
* Conducting pre
-use inspections. Correct any issues that arise from inspections.
* Assisting with setting range exercises and riding demonstrations according to MSF and DOT standards.
* May include sweeping lot to prepare for class.
* Determine completion of the required online 5 hours class, verify certificates of completion
* Demonstrating and conducting range exercises as outlined in the MSF curriculum.
* Conducting classroom along with range and riding sessions.
* Evaluate and test students.
* Ensure safety of students and others participating in the class.
* Ensure the appropriate protective clothing and helmets are worn by the students.
* Check student forms for completeness and accuracy.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Motorcycle endorsement.
* Successful completion of the MSF’s BRC course.
* Successful completion of the Rider Coach Prep (RCP) course.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Strong communication skills or teaching experience.
* Work with populations having diverse values and/or coming from varied cultures and backgrounds.
GENERAL PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES WITH OR WITHOUT RESONABLE ACCOMODATION:
Position involves constant (67%-100%) standing, moving, walking.
Position involves frequent (34%-66%) standing in a classroom, instructing, reaching, pushing, pulling, grasping.
Position involves occasional (10-33%) traveling to annual required classes.
