Position Summary:
The Head Football Coach is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the Moravia 8-man football program. This includes fostering student-athlete development, promoting sportsmanship, and building a competitive program that reflects the values of the school and community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Plan, organize, and supervise all aspects of the 8-man football program (grades 9–12), including offseason, preseason, and in-season activities.

Develop and implement practice plans, game strategies, and player development systems specific to 8-man football.

Promote academic success, character development, and positive behavior among student-athletes.

Ensure compliance with all IHSAA, district, and school policies and regulations.

Supervise and evaluate assistant coaches; provide leadership and professional development.

Coordinate scheduling, transportation, equipment, and facility use in collaboration with the Activities Director.

Maintain accurate records, including eligibility, participation, and program inventory.

Foster strong communication with players, parents, staff, and the community.

Promote the football program through youth engagement, camps, and community outreach.

Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants, including proper training in equipment use and concussion protocols.
Qualifications:

Valid Iowa coaching authorization or teaching license with coaching endorsement.
