Middle School Track Coach

Eastern Greene Middle School is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to serve as Boys’ and Girls’ Track Coaches. The successful candidates will provide leadership, instruction, and mentorship while developing student-athletes both on and off the track.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, promote sportsmanship, and foster an environment where student-athletes develop confidence, teamwork, and a passion for competition.

Qualifications

• Coaching experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to motivate and mentor middle school student-athletes
• Commitment to building positive relationships with students and families
• Knowledge of track and field fundamentals preferred

• Develop student-athletes’ skills and understanding of track and field
• Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth
• Create a positive and competitive athletic environment
• Represent Eastern Greene Middle School with integrity and professionalism

Expectations

• Oversee all aspects of the track team assigned
• Plan and conduct organized, safe, and engaging practices
• Communicate expectations, schedules, and events with athletes and parents
• Model appropriate behavior and sportsmanship
• Build a program that the Eastern Greene community is proud to support
• Recruit and encourage student participation
• Work collaboratively with the Athletic Director and coaching staff
• Demonstrate reliability and preparedness in meeting practices, competitions, and assigned responsibilities
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director
