Description: Medical Billing Specialist
§ Responsible for all aspects of accounts receivable
§ Working insurance denials and non-payments
§ Charge entry for various visits
§ Discussions with patients regarding account balances
§ Collecting patient payments via telephone
This position must employ critical thinking, confidentiality, troubleshooting techniques, immediate response to the needs of our patients (physicians, administration, or co-workers) and effective communication with co-workers, physicians, administration and patients.
This position must have knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT codes.
This position will also have various clerical duties, such as filing in patient charts, copying of orders, demographics, etc.
