About the Practice

This is a specialty outpatient practice focused on physical medicine & rehabilitation, pain management, and procedure-based care. We run a high-standard, fast-paced clinic and are hiring one exceptional person to own patient flow and support in-room procedures.

Who this role is for

This is not a “basic MA” position. You will be the person who keeps the day running: patients roomed, procedure room ready, supplies stocked, and the physician supported so care stays on time.

You will do well here if you are dependable, fast, organized, calm under pressure, and you take ownership without being micromanaged.

Core responsibilities

  • Patient flow ownership: rooming, vitals, medication/allergy reconciliation, chief complaint capture, readiness for provider, smooth transitions between rooms
  • Procedure room support: prepare supplies/trays, assist with ultrasound setup, support time-out workflow, labeling and documentation handoff per protocol, post-procedure instructions, and rapid room turnover
  • Clinical support: clean technique, patient education, accurate documentation support, specimen/med handling per protocol
  • Inventory and stocking: maintain par levels, order supplies, keep procedure room and exam rooms consistently ready
  • Team coordination: communicate proactively with front desk and clinical team to avoid bottlenecks and delays

All duties performed consistent with Maryland delegation/supervision requirements and clinic protocols.

Requirements (must have)

  • 2+ years experience as a Medical Assistant (outpatient preferred)
  • Strong punctuality/attendance record (references will be checked for reliability)
  • Comfortable working at a fast pace with frequent task switching
  • Professional patient communication and strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable with procedure-room work (setups, turnovers, checklists, labeling)

Preferred

  • CMA/RMA/CCMA (or comparable certification)
  • Experience in orthopedics, pain management, sports medicine, or other procedure-heavy outpatient settings
  • Ultrasound-guided procedure support (can be taught) – helping with setup/turnover and maintaining clean technique
  • EMR proficiency

How we hire

Final candidates complete:

  • A structured interview, and
  • A paid working interview (2–4 hours) to evaluate patient-flow speed, procedure-room setup, and attention to detail.
