Medical Assistant – Orthopedics, Regenerative Medicine & Sports Medicine
Rothenberg Orthopedics, Regenerative, and Sports Medicine is a fast-paced, innovative orthopedic practice specializing in regenerative medicine, sports medicine, spine care, and non-surgical orthopedic treatments. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional patient care while utilizing the latest technologies, including PRP therapy, laser therapy, and shockwave therapy.
We are looking for an energetic, compassionate, and dependable Medical Assistant who is eager to learn and grow with our practice. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with patients, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to develop specialized skills in regenerative medicine.
No prior experience with laser or shockwave therapy is required—we will provide comprehensive training for the right candidate.
What You’ll Do Clinical Responsibilities
- Room patients and prepare them for their appointments
- Obtain and document medical histories and vital signs
- Assist physicians during examinations and in-office procedures
- Educate patients on treatment plans and physician instructions
- Prepare treatment rooms and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment
- Sterilize instruments and maintain clinical supplies
- Learn to independently perform laser therapy and shockwave therapy after completing in-office training
- Assist with PRP and regenerative medicine procedures
Patient Communication
- Return patient phone calls and answer questions regarding treatment plans, medications, and post-procedure instructions
- Provide outstanding customer service with a concierge-level approach
- Build strong relationships with patients throughout their course of treatment
- Communicate effectively with physicians and clinical staff regarding patient needs
Administrative Responsibilities
- Schedule patient appointments
- Assist with check-in/check-out when needed
- Document accurately within our EMR system
- Coordinate referrals and follow-up appointments
- Assist with general clerical duties to support the clinical team

Qualifications
Preferred
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA)
- Previous experience in an orthopedic, sports medicine, pain management, or medical office setting
- Experience using an Electronic Medical Record (EMR), eCW knowledge is a plus
Bonus Qualifications
- Basic X-Ray License (or willingness to obtain one)
- Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW)
- Spanish speaking is a plus
