The Asian-African Legal Consultative Organization (AALCO), established in 1956, is an inter-governmental organization comprising 49 member states from Asia and Africa. AALCO’s latest regional arbitration center is situated in Hong Kong SAR, a strategic location within the Greater Bay Area and the Belt and Road Initiative. The Hong Kong Arbitration Center is dedicated to promoting the use of LawTech for dispute resolution, offering an advanced Online Disputes Resolution platform aligned with the APEC ODR Framework. This is one of six international arbitration centers under AALCO, recognized for their independent status and supported by international law. The Hong Kong Regional Arbitration Center upholds the rule of law and legal excellence, reinforcing Hong Kong’s reputation as a global hub for financial, legal, and dispute resolution services.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Hong Kong SAR. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing, executing, and managing marketing strategies that promote the services of AALCO Hong Kong Regional Arbitration Center. Key responsibilities include creating marketing campaigns, managing digital platforms, website, coordinating events, fostering relationships with stakeholders, analyzing market trends, and ensuring brand consistency across all channels. The role requires close collaboration with internal teams and external partners to enhance AALCO’s visibility and support its mission of providing world-class arbitration services.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive yearly event strategies aligned with organisational goals, including conferences, webinars, workshops, and networking events.
- Manage end-to-end event logistics: venue selection, vendor coordination, speaker invitations, AV setup, and on-site operations.
- Create compelling marketing campaigns across social media, email (eDMs), websites, flyers, and partnerships to maximise attendance and engagement.
- Handle budgets, registrations, sponsorships, and post-event reporting (ROI, feedback, lead generation).
- Liaise with high-level stakeholders such as government officials, legal professionals, consulates, and international partners.
- Produce promotional materials, bilingual content (English/Chinese), and track performance metrics.
- Manage AALCO-HKRAC’s website content and databases, including panellist profiles, event calendars, empanelment forms, and arbitration/mediation/sports mediation/adjudication resources to ensure accuracy, compliance, and user accessibility.
- Collaborate with internal teams for seamless promotion and smooth operations.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and experience in Marketing, Campaign Management, and Digital Marketing
- Proficiency in Content Strategy, Social Media Management, and Event Coordination
- Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Cantonese or Mandarin is an advantage
- Analytical skills with the ability to interpret market trends and data to inform strategies
- Experience with brand management and stakeholder engagement
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment and collaborate effectively with international teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field
- Experience in the legal or arbitration industry is an advantage
- Familiarity with LawTech and Online Dispute Resolution platforms is a plus
- Detail-oriented, resilient under pressure, with cultural sensitivity for Hong Kong/international audiences.
- Exceptional organisational and communication skills with ability to work independently; discreet, reliable, and proven capacity to manage multiple priorities under pressure while consistently meeting deadlines.
Preferred Experience
- Familiar with legal/arbitration events or professional networking.
- Database management for targeted outreach (e.g., 6,000+ legal professionals).
- Experience promoting with high-profile speakers (e.g., government officials).
