Overview

At ready gunner we offer a full-service retail firearms store, a 15-lane indoor shooting range, a robust social media presence we are trying to turn into an e-commerce platform. We provide a high-quality, professional, and safe environment for our customers, range members, and employees. We are looking for a detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and energetic Marketing Assistant to help promote the store, support our customers, and increase our online efforts.

Role

You will work across a range of projects and tasks. Maintaining the accuracy and aesthetics of our online inventory, executing retail promotion efforts, local promotional strategies, and supporting the marketing efforts for our training classes and range services. The ideal candidate is comfortable navigating mail chimp, bigCommerce, understands the unique compliance challenges of the firearms industry, and is eager to contribute to the growth of a busy retail and range facility.

Responsibilities

E-Commerce & Inventory Management

  • Website Maintenance: Manage product listings on the website, ensuring all information (descriptions, pricing, specifications) is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Inventory Coordination: Sync inventory levels between the physical store and the online platform, ensuring stock discrepancies are minimized.
  • Product Photography & Merchandising: Coordinate product photos and match product descriptions.
  • Online Orders: Manage online orders

Marketing & Promotional Efforts

  • Email Strategy: Assist in developing, scheduling, creating and sending email newsletters, promotional messages, product specials, and training classes.
  • Industry Compliance: Maintain an awareness of and strict adherence to Meta’s and Google’s advertising policies regarding the firearms industry, ensuring all promotional efforts remain compliant.
  • Event Promotion: Coordinate marketing materials for upcoming events, instructor-led training classes, and community outreach.

Retail, Storefront, Customer Order Support

  • In-Store Merchandising: Assist with visual merchandising and signage updates on the retail floor to align with current online promotions.
  • Customer Engagement: Provide support to customers during peak hours, assisting with inquiries regarding training classes, range memberships, and online orders via email, text and phone calls.
  • Operational Assistance: Administrative tasks related to store supplies, special events, inventory, and customer feedback management.
  • Class Schedule: Publish monthly class schedule, update website, retail calendars, prep class attendee lists.
  • Recalls / Warranties: Manage occasional recall and warranty requests.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Retail marketing, e-commerce management, or a similar administrative role is not required, but you better be on the ball and love YouTube to figure things out, you will need to want to spend a lot of your own time learning marketing skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong computer skills, including experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., BigCommerce), customer management backend, and basic photo editing software, Canva or equivalent would be helpful.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional organizational skills, committed to accuracy.
  • Industry Knowledge: A solid understanding of firearms, range safety, and the shooting sports industry is strongly preferred. If not, a strong willingness to learn on your own time and maintaining safety standards is mandatory.
  • Compliance Awareness: Ability to research and adhere to strict advertising guidelines in a regulated industry.

Working Conditions

  • This is an on-site position at our retail and range facility.
  • You will be around guns and people holding guns all day. You need to be willing to handle guns.
  • Regular business hours with occasional flexibility required for special events or promotional events.

Pay: $17.00 – $18.00 per hour
