Role Description The Luggage role at Omtex Sports is a full-time, on-site position based in Vasai. This role is responsible for managing sports and travel luggage products, including coordinating inventory, overseeing quality checks, and ensuring that bags and related accessories meet design and durability standards. The daily work includes collaborating with production and sourcing teams, tracking orders, and supporting packaging, labeling, and dispatch activities to align with brand and customer requirements. The role also involves assisting with product specifications, resolving issues related to defects or returns, and maintaining accurate documentation for stock movement and product performance. The team member will work closely with supervisors to improve processes, support timely delivery, and contribute to the consistent presentation of Omtex Sports luggage products in retail and online channels.
Qualifications
- Experience in product handling, warehousing, or inventory management for bags, luggage, or related accessories.
- Knowledge of basic quality control processes and standards for materials, stitching, and hardware used in sports or travel luggage.
- Ability to coordinate with production, procurement, and dispatch teams and maintain clear, accurate records.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer literacy for data entry, inventory systems, and documentation; familiarity with ERP or stock management software is an advantage.
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues at different levels.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, sports goods, apparel, or accessories is preferred.
- Minimum educational qualification of a high school diploma; vocational or technical training in logistics, manufacturing, or related fields is a plus.
