As a Lifeguard, you’ll play a crucial role in monitoring all water activities and ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Collaborate with camp supervisors to deliver engaging programs while ensuring participant safety. This full-time summer contract position provides both a fulfilling work experience and the chance to embody the YMCA’s values of inclusiveness and care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and ensure camper safety during all aquatic activities
• Enforce waterfront safety standards and guidelines
• Quickly respond to emergency situations and first aid needs
• Maintain first aid equipment in safe working order
• Keep the beach and waterfront area orderly and safe
Requirements:
• Valid National Lifeguard certification
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Familiarity with waterfront operations
• Current Standard First Aid and CPR C licenses
• Satisfactory Police Record with Vulnerable Sector Check
