Position: Lifeguard/Instructor 2
Become a vital part of Delta’s Aquatics team as a Lifeguard/Instructor 2. In this auxiliary role, you will instruct aquatic programs and maintain safety for diverse age groups throughout the fall semester.
The City of Delta seeks dedicated individuals for the Lifeguard/Instructor 2 position, set to begin in Fall 2026. This role includes operational tasks, teaching aquatic skills, and performing janitorial and minor maintenance duties. Candidates should have strong lifeguarding skills, classroom leadership, and a solid understanding of pool operations to ensure safety.
Key Responsibilities:
• Instruct aquatic programs for all age groups
• Perform lifeguarding duties according to safety standards
• Maintain pool cleanliness and minor equipment upkeep
• Establish effective communication with patrons
• Document and manage records related to aquatic activities
Requirements:
• National Lifeguard Award – Pool Option
• Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor certification
• CPR Level C certification
• Minimum age of 16 years
• Availability for Fall 2026 commitments
