Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for swimming, teaching, and ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all participants. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for providing quality swim instruction to individuals of all ages and skill levels while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct swim lessons for various age groups and skill levels,ensuring that each participant receives personalized attention.
- Develop lesson plans that cater to the needs and goals of each swimmer, focusing on technique, safety, and confidence in the water.
- Monitor pool activities to ensure safety protocols are followed, including supervising swimmers during lessons.
- Perform pool maintenance tasks such as cleaning and checking water quality to ensure a safe swimming environment.
- Provide first aid and CPR assistance when necessary, maintaining a calm demeanor in emergency situations.
- Engage with children, teachers, and families while addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to pool equipment or supplies as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a swim instructor or lifeguard is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of swimming techniques and safety practices.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in lifeguarding or pool maintenance are a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks related to pool maintenance and equipment handling.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with swimmers of all ages.
- A positive attitude, patience, and the ability to motivate others in their swimming journey.
Pay: $16.65 – $19.95 per hour
