In this crucial role, you will work closely with the Aquatics Supervisor to foster a welcoming environment at the facility. Your responsibilities include monitoring the pool, conducting swim lessons suitable for various skill levels, and delivering emergency care when necessary. This position not only ensures the safety of swimmers but also enhances their skills in the water.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain constant surveillance of pool activities for safety
• Respond to emergencies with prompt, lifesaving care
• Plan and lead age-appropriate swim lessons
• Build relationships with participants and their families
• Keep accurate records of participant progress
Requirements:
• Must be 15 years or older
• Current National Lifeguard Service Award required
• Valid First Aid & CPR-C certifications
• Preferred certification from YMCA, Red Cross, or Lifesaving
• Willingness to work a minimum of 4 shifts monthly
